Anyone got a yummy slow cooker recipe using sausages - i've got sausages out for tea and thought i might put something together in the slow cooker but no idea what or how :o

I have yet to try this one...
It's a maggi slow cooker sachet- Sausage and Tomato Casserole.

You need ^ sachet
8 snags
1 onion
300gms of chickpeas (I'll pass on them..lol)
400gms chopped tomatoes

Chuck it all in and cook on low for 8 hours :thumbsup:

Hmmm... I love snags in the slow cooker!!

Curried snags

sausages,
I apple, diced
chicken stock
curry powder
1 onion diced
any other vegies you want...

chuck it in and cook!!! YUM...
can need a bit of thickening at the end, just use cornflour.

serve with mash or rice

masterfoods sausage hotpot
1 tablespoon oil
1 brown onion
8 sausages
500g sweet potato
150g green beans
1/2 cup water
1 sachet
1 teaspoons honey
2 tablespoons sour cream (optional)

brown sausages
add everything into slow cooker
4 hour on high or 8 hours on low :)
serve with mashed potato
for a thicker sauce take off lid 20 mins before end of cooking!

Thanks everyone, they all sound delish :D

Can i just chuck the sausages in uncooked or do i need to brown them first?

Either or, doesnt matter!!

Most packet recipies say to brown first.

That just creates more washing up!!! LOL.... I never do for meat.

The only thing I do "brown" first is when I do a risotto in the slow cooker and you have to coat the rice in oil...

I have never had an issue with not browing meat first!!

I made this one the other day and it was yummy!! I didnt have the honey or sweet potato or sour cream! So I used pumpkin and added a tin of skinned tomatoes - yummy! Oh and I used frozen mixed vegies instead of green beans - but the sachet was the same!!! lol!!!
