This thread is too quiet, and I am bored and lonely, so I am going to sit here and talk to myself until someone answers back....so there. :ecomcity:

My baby boy is 6 weeks on friday! YAY! It has flown by already. Starting to really get into a good routine. Well, one week anyway. Then our other two come back and all hell breaks loose.

My birthday was on the 19th, so I am now officially 24. EEK! Going out to dinner with family this saturday night at hogs breath. I am looking forward to a cocktail. ;) Not looking forward to the family dramas that will no doubt come from combining my family and DP'S family.

My wedding si coming up fast, 16 weeks I think? Nothing is finalised so I really need to light a fire under my bum. Dreading my hens night though. Nobody will be there!

What has everyone else been up to??

Over the years I have lost a fair few friends, some my fault, some others. I was sitting down working out the guest list the other day and its looking alot lower than it would have been two years ago! Ah well, quality over quantity! I sent a request on facebook too. :) Its nice to find another August birthday!

You better be there, the list will look even more pathetic if your not! I know there will be a lingerie/ adult toy party. Thanks to my sister. It will be fairly quiet, dont even know how she is going with the planning yet!

Not at panthers. Last time i went there they only sell half strenght cocktails after 9pm.....for the same price as full strength ones! So ripped.

Then every hour they have a ten minute bar lockout where you can't buy drinks. Must say their "plastic cups" are alot nicer than other places who have brought the plastic cup thing in. Thats about it though

Ra Ra Superstar

I must admit yes before 9pm your getting your moneys worth. They really do a good job of their cocktails. I wouldnt pay that much for a half strength one though

08-09-2010, 18:16

08-09-2010, 20:13
Lol I don't blame you I had thought of it but my bags are always too tiny! Yeah I think that was the worst part about being preggers missing out on Xmas, nye and bday cocktails! Although I had DD 10 weeks ago and all I've drank is half a glass of passion pop!

TurnedBatty

Princessmum- I survived the weekend, thats a start. Almost didnt. My eldest son hit my nephew in the face, which is completely and utterly out of character for him. :( He even scared himself over it and was hysterical, because he has never ever ever hit anyone. But when you put my logical, "always-has-to-be-right", mature beyond his years seven year old son with my illogical, unreasonable, argumentative seven year old nephew....well, someone was going to snap eventually.

No plans this weekend either, dp is working as usual. Ds hasn't been looked after by anyone else yet. He might get looked after by mil if I have to go to the dentist sooner than planned, but if not it will be end of October. My sister will watch him while we go to a wedding. I'm so excited. :) I can't blame you for not wanting mil to babysit:no: sugared water indeed!!

We have spent the day at the park burning off some energy. Ss cried the whole way back. Sigh. Atleast he is napping now.

Yarramundi river is out near Richmond. Alot closer than Wollongong. :) Dp says that upper colo river is also good, but I have never been there. We should have taken the boys to the river again today, but we went to the park instead. I'm thinking that was q bad move

Yeah pretty good, been trying to get all my nappies dry in the house without using a dryer. Not happening

How was your week? Read about your excellent breastfeeding experience. :highfive: Inspired me, I walked through kmart feeding ds in the sling. So nerve wracking!

Things with DP are getting there. I just spelt out to him that he is now 12 weeks old and I still havent had a break. No sleep in, no "Here, you shower, I will do that", no going to bed early while DP stays up with him. DS is an easy baby, but still, Im going loopy.

Hey wonderbite :) congrats on the pregnancy when are you due?

 Hi wonderbite! Do you have any names picked?

Yeah confidence to breastfeed in public would be nice. But I dont mind too much, I actually kind of like going to the parents room and chilling out. :o DP is supposed to be letting me sleep in tomorrow, so heres hoping!

I hope your mums okay! Sounds scary, the hospital is definitely no fun. Im a bit like you, my sister is due to start work again soon (on maternity leave)and it will be a bit strange because I hang with her nearly every day!

I went to try my wedding dress on yesterday. It was an 8. I ordered the ten (which wouldnt have fit me anyway, I need a 12. Stupid pregnancy!) But thats really bedise the point. I think they sold me dress thinking that they could replace it in time, but thats looking unlikely! :crying: There are only seven weeks left, so I have noooo idea what I will do. She said she will call me on Monday to let me know if they can order one in or not.

TurnedBatty
11-10-2010, 13:28
It's a white strapless light flowing silk dress?I don't know, it's hard to describe! She rang, she said international sizes have changed, and that the 8 is really a 10. Um no. There is too much difference. I wouldn't have gotten that dress. She rang back later and said that she had found a size 12 in store and "how lucky are you?" Um no, I think you guys are lucky. So I have to go in and try it on. But what I don't get, and this is the part that gets confusing. I was a 12 when I tried on the dress, and fit into their 10, which is now an 8. So then if I fit in the 12 now, that would make me a normal size 16, which I'm not. Unless they are lying and it really is an 8 and they are trying to cover their bums..... Sigh. Soooo confusing!

Just*Ace
21-10-2010, 21:14
I totally understand that! Are you making the cake? TurnedBatty
22-10-2010, 10:51
Yup, wedding is an evil word! Yeah I am making the cake. Found a really nice recipe on line for white mud chocolate cake. Im just not good at decorating, which is bad. If the cake looks bad noone will want to eat it! Im sure I can pretty it up with some ribbon.

We are having tablecloths as picnic rugs, with a few chairs as well, but because it isnt really a sit-down affair, we are paying less at norman lindsay. I am so excited, only five weeks to go!

Just*Ace

The cake is so delicious, I'm sure it will be gobbled up in ten minutes! I'm excited about making it, my sister is going to "help" me and I'm sure there will be wine involved. ;)

The wedding was good. I missed Harper heaps. We had to sneak out to the car at one stage to express! we were so panicked that there would be similar things in our wedding to theirs, but theirs was formal ours is..... Not. Though there is one thing similar, her bridesmaid dresses are my wedding dress! only in blue. Dp thinks it's funny. I think it's just not good. (plus I'm annoyed that they could afford five hundred bucks for z bridesmaid dress! Let alone four of them!See what not having children does for you?) Then four of us went on a roadtrip up to Nelson bay and stayed the night. It was so much fun, and I had just a few too many drinks. oops. Yes, we are leaving the sunday for the familymoon. Hey,
I know... its odd 8 months seems to have gone so fast, it seems like just yesterday we were in the hospital with them both, but at the same time it feels like Logan has been with us forever :)

Hi ladies, how are you all going? Getting prepared for Xmas?

We bought harpers pressies yesterday. A stacking ring thingy, a drum that makes music when you hit it, and a 'scout' dog thingy that dh loves, I'm not so keen on :) I just can't wait for his first christmas!

Gah...Xmas....sooo not ready!!
I've got almost everyones presents, usually I'm alot more organised but this year every time I went Xmas shopping I ended up just buying things for Leila lol. So silly coz I know she won't remember anything but oh well. Alot of it we would have got her anyway so may as well make it a Xmas present! She is getting a rainforest jumperoo, some fisher price little toys, clothes, Tupperware shape ball and some pool toys as mum is buying her a clam shell pool.
What is everyone doing Xmas day? We are going to my inlaws on Xmas eve and my mums on Xmas day. DH and I used to go to the movies on Xmas night, this will be the first year we haven't!
I'm thinking we should plan a BH meet up for in the new year. Maybe meet up at a park or coffee club? Anyone interested?

hahaha, it is sooo hard not to buy for the babys. Went to kmart today, and oops! Half the money gone on the kids. :D

We might go to my sisters if they are having an annual xmas eve party, but I dont think they are this year. Xmas morning at home (will be me, DH and youngest DS this year, the other boys are with their other parents). Xmas lunch at my sisters with my family. Then we go pick our other boys up and go to the inlaws for xmas dinner. Then boxing day we open pressies in the morning with our older boys, and then got to my grandads for afternoon tea. Soooo busy!

A bh meetup sounds good. :)

I'll be in for the meet up.
Almost have all the kids pressies, going to get some books I think. Dh got his above ground pool last week so that was his pressie but I will prob get some corny kids pressies for him. I know mine isn't bought yet either. Our tree will go up this weekend, no where to keep it safe from my 20 month old whirl wind daughter! I have wrapped only 2 pressies lol. Hope to be better prepared next year

Nicky - wow our boys do have similar birthdates! Wish I was that organised to purchase gifts through the year, I'll say I will & then never end up doing it haha.
So why the big move from Germany?how long have you been here? Having no white Christmas must be hard!

Princessmum - this weekend we have been celebrating Xmas with df's side of the family as we leave to celebrate with my family on Thursday. We went to look at Christmas lights last night & some people do such a fantastic job, loved the ones in emu plains that you can get out & walk through DS1 was in his glory!

hahaha... Looks like I am not the only one awake at night :) Well, my husband is australian, that brought me here a year ago. Very very different christmas. I must say that here it's just ridiculously consume oriented. Not very nice, at least not my kind of christmas...
Anyway - tell me about the christmas lights, what is it?

Nicky - Hahaha yes awake feeding baby. I bet it's very different here not only for Xmas but alot of things!
The good lights we found are in emu plains, one of the houses takes donations & donates it to the children's hospital last year they raised over one thousand dollars. Ds1 loved it, getting to walk through all of the stuff set up with snow & bubble machines.

Where is everyone spending Xmas?
We are heading to Forster on Thursday, can't wait for beach!
