A friend is getting married and instead of presents, they're having a wishing well - basically you give cash instead as they already have their own place.

I've never done this before so I'm wondering....do you just throw your money in anonymously, or are you supposed to put it in with your card?

Thanks.

We put our money in a card at a friends wedding, but other people had put notes in anonymously. So im not too sure which is right, i hope someone else can help.

Hi we got married early this year and had a wishing well only (some did bring gifts) everyone of our guests (except those who gave nothing at all) put the money they were happy to give into a wedding card then into the well. We knew who came from who etc and that was good.

We had one at our wedding andpretty much every wedding we've been to has had one. We always put it in a card as then they know who it is from. Seems that everyone did that at ours to with a card!

You can write it on the invitations' "wishing well poem" whether it can be anonymous or not - we're just leaving it open so if they want to write who its from they can, if they don't, then they don't feel pressured to
