Just curious...

We are ttc in 6 weeks time and have been charting on fertilityfriend.com and trackign my cycles etc, will that help it not take so long?

Did any of you have lots of bd'ing all the time and still not fall pregnant?

DD1, took ONCE!

DD2 took months (nearly a year) I started using OPK's and 2 months later we were preggers!!!!

I'm only 8 weeks PG now with number one:smiliedance: , but it took 4 months of full on BDing TTC, that's about average.

Roxy - I'm on to my 14 th cycle and still TTC #1. My cycles are regular, I am ovulating normally, and we always BD at the right time. But its still not happening. I got a BFP on my 10th cycle only to m/c at 5 weeks - but at least I know we can get p/g. But sometimes it just takes ages.

I'm with Chicken, we're on our 10th cycle ttc. I had an early mc in January. We bd at the right time, take vitamins, eat properly, chart temps, and still waiting. Sometimes it does just take ages.

It took us only once as well. I knew when I was ovulating, and made sure we DTD right then! Good luck with TTC

With DS1, it took 10mths. Then only 1mth for our second child, lol.

BTW if I had my time over, I think I would have taken the docs advice and not TTCed the first few months off the pill. That way when you find out the first few cycles sucked anyway, it doesn't seem like you've been at it for so long.

Hmm, let me think...

We miscarried before #1, so for that brief pregnancy it was 3 months from saying "yep, let's have a baby" to conception. Then 2 months after the miscarriage we were pregnant again, so it must have only taken 1 month that time, and with #2 it also only took 1 month (and that was only on one specific day that we guessed I would ovulate, so I am glad my hubby stuck to his guns and didn't give into my suggesting a few days before, after, etc...!)

We are 8 weeks pg now after trying for 3 months. I was charting from the beginning. I only have one functional fallopian tube, so it may have been even earlier for us without that problem. I think what helped us is that my DP is pretty young and healthy - he doesn't drink and we go to the gym together (well, we used to - I'm too tired now!). I was also seeing an acupuncturist who sepcialises in fertility, so that helped as well I think.

i went of the pill in december and we ttc in january, it took us 7 cycles to get preg as i am now 4.5 weeks along (we only just found out). I tried every thing to be succesfull, and this month we only bd'd day of o and day after, my doc says to much BD can reduce the spermies count. I agree with fishy tho, if i did what the doc suggested and waited 6 months, this would have been the month we conceived any way!

1st time here...I was pretty well on the pulse as far as AF & O...Hopefully it will be the same with No2:fingerscrossed:

Well..... we ttc #1 for 8 months, then fell pg, only to loose that child (a baby girl) half way through pregnancy. We started ttc again straight away, 12 months after we lost her we fell pregnant again and that pregnancy resulted in our son.

So 20 months of ttc all up. He's worth every second of it.

My DD was a third cycle bub - but another 3 (m/cs) were 1st cycles. Not lucky for us. Hence why we dont ttc on the 1st cycle!!

We conceived on the very first bd of first ovulation and we are stunned. I have an auto immune disease and have treatment inclduing a cancer treament for the past 8 years. Thought it would take forever to get my body back to normal so when we had what I thought was AF this month I was happy I guess to at least know I was having a normal cycle. Confirmed yesterday we managed to catch the egg on the one and only day leading up to and of ovulaiton that we managed to BD due to stuff going on in our life.
Never been so happy in my life to :barf:
