Your skin in pregnancy and babys gender...

Sooo, there is a theory that more acne/pimples means you are carrying a girl and clear skin means a boy. I certainly remember enjoying perfectly clear skin when I was carrying my boys and I have a feeling it wasn't so good with DD but I can't quite remember. This time around my skin is terrible, so I wonder....

Did you skin differ depending on the gender of your bub? It couldn't possibly be true could it??

Nah sorry, mine was the same with all 3 (2 girls and a boy). Although my skin was very dry in my 2nd pregnancy (2nd girl), but I think that was coz I'd moved from a lovely humid climate to a horrible cold dry, using way too much heating climate.

One thing I normally enjoy about pregnancy is that my skin goes soooooo clear and nice. I am still waiting for that this time around :crying: It's awful atm.

my skin was horrible and dry with my first two boys. with this one there has been a mixture, the first trimester I had the best skin I have ever had and its going dry now again. not as bad as it was with my first two boys but getting there.

I had really nice skin and hair during pregnancy and had a girl.

The Chinese Gender Prediction thing was also a load of rubbish for me - there was only ONE month of that whole year that would have got me a girl, and it wasn't anywhere around the time I gave birth or concieved (since I've seen both being used).

There's also the "you get fat with daughters," thing... but from behind, I looked as I usually did.

NONE of those gender-predicting wives tales were corrent for me. :)

i have had worse skin this time around then i did with my boys. supposedly having a girl this time so we'll see in 10 weeks i guess

My skin was okayish with the 2 boys. This time I am supposedly having a girl and its shocking. I've had terrible acne and dermatitis - very very itchy and its driving me mad!!

And I am slowly becoming the size of a house :(

I had lovely skin and one lovely girl!!!
Everyone told me I was having a boy because of the way I was carrying, my skin, even because of my cravings!! I don't think there is any true to those old wives tales!

First trimester my skin was really bad n then it cleared up! I had a lil girl.

I have only had the one and it was a boy. I broke out early on then had fabulous skin, great hair and less body hair.

I have bad skin normally but it did get worse during pregnancy - i have two girls.

i had fantastic skin and hair when i was pregnant with DS

I had bad acne with DS, it cleared up close to term, along with all my other symptoms (around 36 wks I think).

This time my skin is even worse, as are my other problems. Maybe i'm having a bigger boy this time? :p
