Fulfilling our Babydreams

We are a loving couple who desperately wish to have our own family. After 15 years of trying, 17 cycle IVF (2 of which includedtrying with two egg donors) 3 Biochemical Pregnancies we have been unsuccessful at fulfilling our long- awaited dream of having our very own child.

We have recently been told that our only option for having our family would be to find a special person who would be willing to donate their Embryos. We promise to give any children that result from the donation - the most loving home that we can.We will cherish, care and provide unconditional love to our children.

My husband Stephen and I have been together for 23 years (I was 15 when we met and he was 19- it was love at first sight!). Wediscussed ourplans to have a family from early on in our dating days. since I was in my teens, I have been dreaming of being a mum.Wehave a wonderful life in Sydney and very loving, supportive families but there is missing from our lives - a baby of uor own. We work hard but make sure that we have time to visit our friends and family. Wehave one cat ' benny' who is very spoilt. imagine how we are going to be with our own child!!.

This is our last opportunity to be parents that we have waited to be for such a long time. both of us having many wonderful qualities to offer a child. We hope you will consider our story and maybe you can be that special person who can fulfill our baby dream.

My man and I are also looking for a donor without any success. I have had four children by a previous marriage and found my partner seven years ago. We have been trying since then without any success.

We have been on the IVF program for the past three years and have fallen pregnant four times but unfortunately have not been able to stay pregnant. I have been told also that I need to find someone with younger eggs in order to have a baby full term.

What a blow. But we are still trying but it is a hard emotional journey as you would know.

There are some stickies at the start of the thread about what is involved etc, but no you don't need to live in the same area. Egg donation can be carried out by people in different states if the intending parents or the donor is prepared to travel a couple of times for counselling and then egg pickup/transfer. Couples are so thrilled to find a lovely egg donor that they will organise whatever is necessary to have the chance of having a bub to love. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I would love to be able to help someone out oneday but at the moment i am breastfeeding, i have spoke to my partner about this and he is not as keen as i am, but i am sure in time he will come round. misskelz it takes a truly special person to want to become an egg donor. Although you can't help someone right now the fact that you're wanting to help makes you one of those special people. Since you're breastfeeding right now you've got time to read and learn as much as possible and to get your hubby used to the idea, and maybe even talk to friends about it so that you know that it is absolutely what you want to do.

I often pop into the ED forum to see how everyone is going and have read your post before.

But now I notice it has been going since 2006! WOW I can not even believe how long you and your hubbie have been trying, especially as the IVF etc was BEFORE the thread started.

My heart is with you guys and I wish you all the best of luck - maybe if one more person prays for your wish to come true it may help.

And dont give up your dreams - a friend once told me

How is the gym, I had a few attempts at joining the gym, women from work are going in lunch time and I think it is a good oportunity to loss some weight. I am trying to reduce the chocoloate and biscuits. Hope the fitness helps you get a pg in 09. It all adds to a positive result.

And summer makes it that bit easier with the yummy fruits you can get now with the melons, stone fruit etc - helps the weight loss when you can eat better, and make sit easier to eat better if the food is easy! Hope hubby is helping you out on this too - so much eaier if you have someone to help motivate you and keep you going.

I just read through all of your thread and recently you put that you are looking for a surrogate. Is there a greater chance of having a donated embryo go to full term with surrogacy. How are you going. I was reading the addotion/surrogacy forum and there are women who need donation eggs/embryo and surrogacy to carry the pregnacy. Just remember it is possible.

Sorry if this seem silly, but you are not after just an egg donation? You actually need embryos. Is this right? Could you not get the egg donation and then fertilise with donated sperm? Sorry, just wanted to clarify.

Hi Jo-anne how good is that. I have been reading your posts for a few years now and it is happening. There is another shot with your embryos and a possibility with your egg donor who sounds like a wonderful person. I had a long break from posting but often thought of you, the joy bubbles over.

We were given a possibility of a life time by Julie our egg donor and her husband. Julie started injections at the end of January her eggs were collected Tuesday two weeks ago and the transfer was Friday two weeks ago. We will know the answer this Tuesday. Julie help us make it not only with the egg donation but through the journey.

It is a long time since I have been on bubhub, a quick search to see how my boys are mentioned on google found a post on bubhub when the boys turned one and a quick look found you my darling jojo

The boys are over 3 and a half but our lives have been devistated by my husband being diagnised as terminally ill and dying 8mths later last march, I was blessed to have my amazing little embryo babes but we have all suffered the sheer trauma of an amaxing australian icon dying prematurly a man who had so much to give in research and kindness.
