Pregnant women in Melbourne interested in a student midwife need to read this!! :)

Hi everyone! :):):)

My name is Brooke and I am a student midwife at Australian Catholic University (ACU) in Melbourne. They offer a fantastic course for all trainee midwives which allows for us to interact with pregnant women over the extent of our 3 year course. This is called a Follow Through Journey Program in which we document all things the pregnant woman (and her partner if applicable) are comfortablewith sharing. This can involve little things from appointment to the most wonderful, the birth. (Only if all parties are comfortable with this!)

I feel honoured to be able to have this opportunity and would love to have the help of any pregnant women in Melbourne that are after continuity of care. The only criteria you must fill is... You must be less than 35 weeks pregnant!!

So if you are in the least bit interested then please dont hesitate to message me back and i will give you some more information about the Follow Through Journey Program.

The more help I am able to give the better of a midwife i will become!

hi Brooke think that its great you are training in a field that you seem to be very passionate about. I was just curious as to where you are located as i am in the west. i am very early in my pregnancy and am due to have a dating scan in the next week or so. also i am doing share care with my local gp as this is my third pregnancy and my last two were problem free. i am not sure what criterias you are looking for or if i am able to help in anyway. i am due mid feb 2011. feel free to message me back as i would love to hear more about what you are doing. good luck

I live in Melbourne and would happy to meet you, I have a different case unfortunately alone and scared and seeing what you wrote put my mind at ease knowing there are some people who do care and are passionate about helping others. I am also like that and would love for you to message me back for further details. I am about 6 or 7 weeks pregnant at the moment. I am 27 years old and healthy as far as the drs say so far, its great what you are doing and I Cant wait to hear from you.
