Possible TMI - missed period, intermittent light bleeding - huh?

Howdy,

We've been TTC off and on since April this year. I missed my period that month but it came back bang on time the next month (28-30day cycle), since then it's been pretty much clockwork until now.

I'm currently on CD45 with no sign of my period. Or rather I had very light bleeding/spotting on CD39 that was red and didn't last very long at all, and slightly heavier on CD41 that was brownish and also didn't stick around. Since then I've randomly had extremely light bleeding/spotting, mostly on TP when wiping.

I haven't tested yet, I'm really just trying to find out what the hell is going on. I've attempted some googling and haven't really come up with a lot of answers that suit my situation - I keep seeing older (I'm 24) women who aren't sexually active having the problem - so I'm after your help.

I'm not tracking anything except the start and end of my periods, I have no idea when I may ovulate or anything like that so I don't know what other information I can give you. I'm also not experiencing any pregnancy symptoms that I'm aware of either.

Any ideas anyone? Have you expereienced this?

:idea: It could be implantation bleeding.

It is often a lot lighter flow than a period and with me it was bright red and only occured on 1 day.
Try typing "Implantation bleeding" into google for more info.

It would be most excellent if I am pregnant. I'll have a look around for what you suggested and see if I come up with anything. And I'm trying to convince my fiance that we should get a test, but he wants to wait and see if AF shows up next month for some reason. Hopefully I'll convince him and we can buy one tomorrow or something. :) :fingerscrossed:

Some women experience slight bleeding during implantation of the egg. This usually happens around the time of expected period, but not much later. If your spotting was on cd39 then I would say you were passed implantation, unless you ovulated late. Anytime there is a fluctuation in hormone you can have irregular bleeding. Buy a test it would not be to soon. Tell your boyfriend that if you are pregnant there could be something wrong(hince the spotting) and you need to know sooner, rather than later. Without a test there is no way to know. Could be pregnancy, or could be a hormonal imbalance that needs adressed by your Dr.
