Hi, I have been looking at natural sway methods to ttc a girl lately, and am wondering if anyone has had success with the O+12 method.
If so, what did you do to pinpoint the exact timing???

Thanks

Have also read a lot about this in the last year or so and am extremely interested in the results... so BUMP!!! Anyone???

We are not actually trying for another bub but not using protection either. I'm charting on FF - supposed to be avoiding the dangerous part of my cycle, LOL, but..... it turned out I ovulated yesterday afternoon (I felt the pain after lots of EWCM and my temp went up not long after) and then dtd last night - approx 10 hrs later.

I'm not expecting to fall pg as my LP is still really short due to quitting BF my 15mth old only a couple of months ago.

BUT still interested in anyone's 0+12 stories, success or otherwise - bring it on!

I'm expecting our sixth baby in February, and s/he will be an O+12 baby. We tried Shettles for 3 cycles with no luck, then i did a fit of research and decided there was more evidence for the o+12 (including my own personal conception history)...and got pregnant first time around using that method.

I also altered my diet to make everything more favourable for girls....and used sylk lubricant, which is apparently the ideal pH for girls.

Obviously i cant tell you if it worked or not though LOL.

I was going to try the 0-12 but found out I was already pregnant oops LOL! I was going to try as a friend was pregnant and used the 0-12 and found out she was having a girl which was what she was after and she got the idea from her parents who used the method twice and got the result they were after both times!!

So 0+12 was a known "thing" a generation ago??? Wow, I'm impressed... I had no idea that this method had been researched back then, nor did I realise they had the technology to pinpoint ovulation! Mind you, my parents might be somewhat older than your friend's parents, lol.

So do you know yet if you're having a girl or not??

No 12 more sleeps LOL!

Yeh I didn't think they would either they would be in their early 50's so I'm not sure how it worked for them back then but hey whatever works! My friend said it was hard to discuss the details with her parents LOL!

Oooooooooh, 12 more sleeps, Muls.... how exciting!! Promise to let us know, ok???

Hahahaha oh yes, now that you mention it, discussing conception with your parents and when to 'do it' could never be exactly "comfortable" (hey, I freaked out when my mum happened to catch a glimpse of my chart on Fertility Friend, lol)! Well done to them as a family tho, it shows they are very close and I admire that.

Sending lots of pink baby dust to you and your friend!! And if one (or two) turn out to be team Blue, congrats anyway on your beautiful new little people! They will be the source of such wonderment, craziness and love!

Yes, i am hoping to find out at the ultrasound, but that probably won't be for a while as i'm still only 10 weeks (feels like forever away LOL). I actually think this baby is probably another boy, but i don't have any real strong feelings one way or the other this time, so who knows!

My parents were going to try for a girl, but got pregnant with me beforehand...but i think they were going to use the Shettle's method...

Good luck for your scan Muls! Hope you get a pink one :)

Awwww..... of course he is!!! Thanks for replying! Were you ok when you found out or a little bit down in the dumps? It's ok, you can be honest... no judgemental comments from me, I promise! And I know that whatever you feel/felt, your new little man is every bit loved, accepted and wanted!

Nah, no attempts have been made here yet - still trying to talk my other half into having another bub, LOL.... will repost back on this thread if I get lucky enough to have some news soon!!

Sorry, Uptheduff, I didn't calculate that very well when I posted the earlier message!

Meagss - wasn't disappointed on the day but a week or so later yeh a little disappointed but not to have another boy just to maybe not ever having a little girl. We will if possible try again for a baby girl and attempt to sway.
Good luck with your attempts to convince DH, hope he caves for you soon LOL!

We're already planning baby #4 LOL!

That's cool :)

No idea one way or the other! I"mprobably swaying slightly more towards another boy, but i think i'm protecting myself against the probability that it will be a boy iykwim.

I've had one psychic tell me she thinks boy, but the baby has a 'veil' over it so she can't quite tell (which i think is code for 'i have no idea, but i'm going to have a guess anyway' LOL). I had an internet gender predicting psychic tell me it was a girl. Chinese lunar chart says girl. Ring test usually says boy, but i just did it again and it is now saying girl LOL. I've done several other predition methods i've found online, and they've all been pretty much 50/50! So it's anyone's guess!

I am in the process of researching natural baby gender swaying methods myself to try for a baby girl and at the top of my list so far is the Prince or Princess Guide discussed here:

http://princeorprincessreview.com

It's written by a midwife and boasts a 94% success rate. I'm wondering if anyone has tried this method and had success with it?

So just coming back to update the thread. I had my scan this morning, and it looks like we'll be having our second little princess!

We used the O+12 method, absteining from sex for a couple of weeks beforehand, as well as changing my diet (not hugely, but cutting out chocolate, caffeine and salty stuff, taking more dairy, etc.), i took magnesium and calcuim supplements, used sylk lubricant, missionary position, no orgasm for me...Umm, i can't remember what else!
