Anyone know if new Rockingham Hosp does waterbirths??

Im booked to go to Rockingham general to have this bubs, im 21 weeks, and really want a waterbirth!
Can anyone shed some light if they do them or not and any experiences?

I had bub at Rockingham 2 months ago and had a really good experience. Most of my friends have liked it there as well.

At the moment they are redoing the maternity ward so all maternity is on the surgical ward at the moment. I'm not sure when the new maternity ward will be open (they told me that I would get to deliver there originally but it wasnt ready in time:rolleyes:) but I have seen it and it is really nice. Almost all private rooms I think. They also have a big bath for labouring in but I'm not sure if they let you birth in it...maybe give them a call and find out?

Just called the hospy and they dont do water births, but do as you say have the big pool for labouring in!! Damn it...

The m/w just told me ont he phone that the new maternity ward "should" be complete by october, so fingers crossed!!

Galliers wing at armadale definately do water births there, have you looked into there????
