I have just moved to the bunbury area and i am looking at meeting new people. I have a DD who is in school and is 5. And my DS is nearly 3. He is your typical boy ( i hope lol) and full of life and adventure. Anyone in the area who can help with tips or has a like minded son around the same age i would love to chat.
thankyou:wave:

Hi JettsMummy, I am in Australind too - at Treendale.
A coffee meet sounds good, this week no good for me as we have been away for a few days and desperately trying to get caught up with my workload!!!
next week should be OK, Bunbury Forum is probably more central for everyone, or there's a coffee place in Eaton Fair?
I'll keep my eye on this thread and go with whatever you decide..... :)

So we all agree it could be on this wednesday. What time should we make it? Like Jetts mum i would prefer morning as i have an appointment at 1pm. So i will go out on a limb --------> How about we make it 10am at the Birdcage(i think that is what it is called) at Bunbury Forum? And anyone who wants to come will come?!?!? Maybe? Oh i do hope so:fingerscrossed: I don't have a ribbon to be identifed with so i will just be the average haggered looking mum, who needs to lose some weigh but generally looks sane. Oh and i will probably be looking around nervously, making people think i am waiting for someone and look very lost! LMAO

:yelclap: yay wednesday at 10! I'm in. And i'll bring my friend crystal too. Its good to meet other mums. Sometimes I feel like the only adult conversation I get is from my hubby who is rarely listening anyway!

18-09-2006, 19:20
you wont miss me with my double pram haha
I have managed to convince my 3 yr old to go to the cafe on weds....bribing him with a milkshake if he behaves himself hahaha
JettsMummy
18-09-2006, 20:42
lol @ the double pram. i downgraded to a stroller because its so much easier to get in and out of the car!
Mummamel
18-09-2006, 21:11
lol least you can do that!
Unfortunately if I dont have Orion in the pram he likes to run off from me which is why I got the double pram lol
I normally only go out to the shops on a tuesday or friday when Orion is at daycare coz then I only need the pram for Saxon! Sooooooo much easier :D
JettsMummy
18-09-2006, 21:40
oooh yep i understand.. i know its terrible but if jett is a runner im going to put him in one of those brace things. i know so many people disagree but id rather have him in one than lose him. i would be hysterical if i couldnt find him! my niece is a runner. and shes a fast one too! i borrowed my niece for the day so i could see how i would cope with 2 kids...... I am not mentally or emotionally strong enough!!!
Mummamel
18-09-2006, 21:52
haha When you actually have 2 of your own you will be surprised at how well you actually do cope!!!
When you have someone elses kid to watch you are a bit more stressed than normal coz its not your own!
Orion has been walking since 7 months old and has been VERY full on. I used to have a harness for him but now he is bigger he has figured out how to get out of it. I used to get all sorts of bad looks from people when I was walking with him in it, at first I was a bit self concious but then i just didnt give a f&*k. You would be surprised the amount of grannies who were praising me for using it lol!!
But Orion normally tends to want to stay in the double pram when we use it which is great!!

Why?
If you mean those harnesses so the kid can walk and parent holds onto it I think they're a great idea, cant understand why people give nasty looks.....

yeah i know a lot of people say they look like dogs being walked and i think that is a stupid thing to say. if it keeps your kids safe its ok by me!! jett will have one.. whether other people like it or not.. i need to know hes not running off into traffic (and as we know, turn your back for a sec and they're off!) or being kidnapped. too many bad things have happened to littlies lately and im a bit over the top but pretty determined it wont happen to mine!

hi i would be interested, but i live in busselton.i have just moved there and have to rely on dh to take me as i dont have a licence! i have 3 girls aged 3.5, 2.5 and 1.if any1 lives near busso please let me know.
I would be interested in catching up with other mums and or dads for coffee as well. I am in Australind and I have an 11 year old daughter and an almost 2 year old son with number 3 on the way due in mid July. We have been here for 6 months and the only people I know here are my inlaws and one of hubbys workmates and his wife. I am starting to go slowly insane not being able to talk to other adults without making long distance phone calls over east.

Yes! I am a Bunbury mum and looking for other Mummies with similar aged children to my daughter (she will be 3 in February) and I am pregnant with #2, due in April. I am 28 and a full time Mummy. Would love to meet up with Mums with well-behaved, polite, gentle and friendly children.
