New Playgroup - Nth/Nth West Brisbane

I am new to this but thought it might be a good way to start a new playgroup. I have not been involved with a playgroup before and have had trouble finding one in my area that has vacancies. So I thought I would see if there was any interest out there for a new one. I live on the Nth/West side of Brisbane. I work 3 days a week so would be interested to hear from other mums with babies/toddlers who are available on a Thursday or Friday to meet up at parks/rotate our homes or even a coffee sometimes, anywhere between The Gap and Arana Hills (I live in between).
I would love it to be a friendly get together where the kids can play and hopefully the mums can form a friendship. I am 35 and my son is 2.

There are actually a few mums that live around the Arana Hills area. We have been trying to get a playgroup going but things have ground to a halt at the moment.

Maybe this would be a good chance to get things going again:smiliedance:

We have been meeting at the park on Dawsons Pde across from Kmart shops...not sure if you know where that is. Otherwise we could try somewhere new??????

Hopefully the other local mums will see this thread and let us know their ideas - I am pretty sure that Oscars Mum would be keen to do something although I think she is about to go on holidays and has had DH down with chickenpox:eek:

I also have a list of the local mums somewhere so we could PM them....

I am happy to give anything a try although I had to pull out of our last two gatherings due to last minute problems...ah well...

Hi Jack-e :wave: I would be interseted. BTW I go to an excellent playgroup on Fridays in Enoggera that has heaps of kids around your DS's age let me know if you want the details & Ill PM them to you.

Hi to V&M, Noo, Jo77, Spring and Horseymum and thanks for replying. Apologies for delay in responding, have not been well. So seems there are 6 of us at least keen to start something. Whats the next step? Should we pick a date and a place and go with that? I am all new to this so any help appreciated :)
We could swap locations from parks to our houses? I am open to suggestions.
Spring, I would also love the details of the Enoggera one you mentioned also.

Hi, I live at Ferny Grove, I currently go to a playgroup on thursday (but I'm getting a bit sick/bored with it) so I would love to join your new one. I have a 3 year old and 9 mth old. Thursdays are the best day for me.
