Hello everyone, I would like to take my 19 week old son for walks in the pram but I am always worried about the wind. I have tried putting blankets over his pram but he doesn't like not being able to see!! I want him to get the maximum benefit of getting some fresh air, but I worry about the wind affecting his skin & also him getting cold. I know I must sound a bit fussy but I can't help worrying :( if anyone could please offer their tips and what they do, I might be able to find a solution. Thanks.

Hi Kristy,

Tayla hated going for a walk if there was wind as it seemed to scare her!

So, the problem is now solved with a wet weather cover - basically it is a plastic see through sheet thing that fits over the pram and has some small air holes.

Now, we can go for walks when it is really windy and cold and she is nice and toasty and enjoys the view while I suffer! :p

I used a baby sling with my ds, and when it was cold put on a warm jacket around both of us, and that kept both of us nice and cosy and warm, and ds was able to see everything to his hearts delight.
We even used to go for walks in the rain like this, and he loved it, using an umbrella of course!
Body heat is wonderful for keeping bubbas warm. :)

I'm a sling mama too, perfect for keeping them warm and snug. But if you prefer the pram then one og those rain covers sounds like it would be good.
