Hey ladies :)

I have been thinking about having a c section from day one. I have pushed it out of my mind and thought i was happy with nautral birth... After having a big cry last night and a big think about it, I would much prefer a c-section for my own reasons.

The only problem is, I havint spoken to any of my midwifes about this at all, and im nearly 32 weeks. I have never met an ob at my hospital. Its all midwife care! So im not 100% sure how to go about talking about booking one in.

Any help would be great :D Thanks Ladies!

Is this your first? Don't quote me on this but i'm not sure if public hospitals let you have planned c sections unless there is a reason or you have had one before. You need to talk to them asap i'd say.

Hi there,

I only saw an ob twice last year in public hospital all the other time it was midwife or my gp as i did share care.

I would ring the hospital and talk to them about it.

It is my understanding you'll need a medical or psychological (with supporting evidence) reason to choose an elective c/s in the public system.

CSections aren't only given at the discretion of the hospital when your a public patient.
