Food for 1 year old birthday party?

I'd love some suggestions for food for my DD first birthday party coming up pleasehappybirthday

It depends on the time of day, your budget etc.

If you're doing a lunch party, then a BBQ is quite easy.

I did an after lunch thing for primarily adults, and I just made some savoury things and a large fruit salad (which was unexpectedly popular), and a platter of cheese/dips etc. We also bought some beer, wine and soft drink.

And the cake, of course.

If you have a lot of 1yo children coming, then I wouldn't worry about making much for them as they're too young to really appreciate it.

We had around 10 kids to DDs 1st birthday. We had a teddy bear's picnic and bbq lunch. I made the following:

fairy bread
fruit platter
teddy bear biscuits
spinach cob loaf
cheese and bacon cob loaf
corn chips and salsa
cheese and cabanosi

I just did it very simply.
