hi there,
I thought this might be useful to anyone who is interested in knowing about the harmful chemicals that most of the products available contain.I found this A-Z product ingredient listing when I was doing a search on the ingredients(chemicals) in the baby wipes i was using. Heck! most of them you can't even pronounce! I urge everyone to educate yourselves about the ingredients on the products you are exposing your precious babies to, not to mention yourself an other family members! I did and I was shocked! As a result I have switched to strictly chemical free products for bubs and have switched many of the household items also. A few of my favourite 'friendly' brands are Neways, Wotnot, GAIA, Moltex, Sukin, A'kin. There are hundreds more, just type in chemical free baby products, in Google. The one's above are some I have personally tried and found lovely to use. Beware of some of the so called eco-friendly or green products that state they are fragrance free or highlight the fact that the packaging used is chemical free which is fine but they still contain harmful chemicals. One that really scared me from the list was LANOLIN, and to think many of us use this on our nipples when breastfeeding!! I also came across a nifty little booklet sold in many health food stores called Chemical Maze Handbook by Bill Statham. I have found it really helpful to carry with me when I go shopping. You will never look at some products the same again!
