My little boy has had tonsilitis(sp?) for the last two sets of teeth he has cut. 2 months ago and again now:rolleyes: . Just woundering if any others have found this with thier little ones.....?

my dr told me last week my DS had tonsilitis and prescribed him penicillin.....i took him to another drs the nesxt day and he said he didnt have tonsilitis he was just teething....he did in fact get another tooth a day or so later so i dont know what to believe but i didnt give him the penicillin!!

Yep my DS has had Tonsilitis with every MAJOR (eg molars) tooth.... Very painful! My GP (who is fantastic) has said that little ones are proned to it as their mouth is open to infection.

She does however say that just because he gets while teething doesn't mean it is going to be a recurring thing later on....

Normally after a weeks dose of penicillin he is right as reign!

My son has had three lots of antibiotics this winter.....and winters not yet over....
and I have had it with pumping him full of stuff. Specially when the first thing they do at this age is throw a bottle of antibiotics at you... :thumbsdown: Their was no throut swabs taken to determine whether it is viral or bacteria.....

I just wonder what spring is going to hold for my little one.....Hay fever, sinus, asthma maybe... Just kidding i hope:fingerscrossed:

My son must be a junkie.... :rolleyes: When he sees me get the white bottle out of the fridge and the syringe he stands there with his mouth open waiting for it!!! :laughing: :laughing:

Oh and normally the doctors look to see puss on the tonsils.... no puss, no tonsilitis! (Apparently... I am by no means a doctor or medical professional! Just a mum....)

I cant stand to see him suffer, so i hope it all over within the week.

wow ive never heard of that but wouldnt surprise me...:hugs: to you poor little one. i have just gotten over tonsilitis and that was bad enough. must be hard coz they dont understand...
hope he gets better soon :D
