Coming off Losec, symptoms 4 days in.

So ds is 14 months now, was diagnosed with cow milk protein allergy, soy, honey intollerance too.
We have been clear of these things for a few weeks now, and pead said to come off losec when we are ready.

So we are on day 4 off losec, he has been hiccuping and burping alot, and each night after dinner he is having a spew, doesn't seem to be bothering him though. He has been eating alot less too.

I'm considering putting him back on losec, but wonder if I'm being a bit over precautious??!!

I just took DS off losec & Zantac. I have noticed megga burps but that's it. His never been a spewer & doesn't have any allergies.

Pead didn't say what syptoms to expect, and we don't see him again for a fair while, I can go back, but ds isn't really in need, iykwim?

Will see if he spews tonight, and how much he manages to eat today :)

LeeJ - not sure if it's related or not but B has pretty much halved his food intake in the last week or so, he's not unwell, just seems to want to eat less so that might just be a coincidence? Hope it eases off for him though and you can keep him off it.

Rather odd. J's bottles have become next to nothing since yesterday, came off meds on Tuesday. Not sure if it's related or not.

Did you do a gradual wean off the meds? Sometimes you can get a little reflux when first off them, then it should taper off.
