On Thursday at 4pm I had my gestational diabetes blood test. That stuff they made me drink made me feel horrible and made bubba really active. But after a while bubba stopped moving, and hasn't moved since, it is now Sunday. Has anyone else experienced this or should i be worried???? HELP ME

When is your bub most active? E.g. Laying down, having a shower? Is it usually very active?

When I was pregnant with DS he wasnt very active at all, usually I would only feel him kicking a couple of times a week. I mentioned this to my dr and he didnt a quick Ultrasound and everything was fine.

I wouls either go into the hospital or ring the maternity ward (who will probably tell you to come in so they can monitor you an bubba) By calling the maternity ward you might cut down a long wait in the emergency room...

god luck I hope everything is ok:fingerscrossed: :hugs:

Please - go get it checked out - either ring maternity or go in there.

For your own peace of mind - the hospital wont mind you contacting them.

Yep i agree with the others! Get it checked out!

If your bub ceases movement or its movement becomes alot less than usual, you need to get it checked out. Thats a rule.

More than likely there is nothing wrong, but its better to be safe than sorry!! :hugs:

hey everyone

thankyou all sooooo very much 4 your concern & advice!!

I did end up calling the maternity ward & they advised me to come in & get checked out. They put a heart monitor on and YES there was that heart beat I was hoping to hear. I was that happy I started crying. Was a pretty stressful couple of days, not knowing if bubba was ok!!

Bubba has moved a couple of times today but still know where near as much as usual, must be saving its energy so it can give a WHOPPIN BIG KICK 'I am still here Mum'......

Thanks again!!!

So pleased to hear that all is well. Anyone else reading that doesn't feel your little one moving please please always get it checked out. Nobody will think you're being silly, and if they do, it's far better to be a caring concerned mum than worry about looking silly.

My little one wasn't moving at 30 weeks, I phone the hospital and they told me to have a hot drink followed by a really cold drink as this should make bub move about and to lie in positions you know they dislike that make them move about. I still didn't feel much movement - maybe 1 feeble kick.

Went to the hospital a couple of hours after that (after organising all the others) and within half an hour I had been admitted and was being transferred by ambulance with sirens blaring to a higher grade hospital. After being monitored all night and going into labour which they tried to stop as contractions were causing bubs heartrate to drop our little wonder was born next morning by a code red emergency c-section. His heartrate was dropping too badly and at one stage he flatlined. People ran everywhere as they ordered this baby was to be out and in the NICU within 20 minutes from start of procedure.

He'll be 3 weeks old tomorrow and is still in special care nursery but our little Sean born 9 weeks prem is doing really well and we can't wait to get him home hopefully within the next week or 2.

If I hadn't of gone in and stayed and waited our beautiful tiny boy mighn't be here today so please if anything is concerning you and you know best what your baby is like please have it checked out straight away.

Good luck everyone
