Dear Ladies,
First of all, we would like to apologise for not posting our update since April of this year. As you can well imagine, seeking an Egg Donor for the very first time and the emotions and excitement in meeting our Angel was mind blowing to say the least.
Well, where do we start, since our last post, we met our Egg Donor and her family for the first time in April. It was just wonderful a magic moment she even surprised us at the Airport when we arrived. A beautiful, caring and loving person along with her two girls and DH. You just should have seen me on the plane I was so so nervous and DH was so so relaxed !!!
Well, we visited the clinic Sunshine Coast and the DR was just wonderful and the nurse. Very relaxing and had that personal touch which is so important. We then organised to come back for the transfer a month later and our Angel produced 29 eggs of which 14 were mature and 7 embies were grade A. We were so happy with the results and on day 3 we transferred 1 embryo at morula stage.
Well, it was unsuccessful but we had six embryos that were waiting to snuggle upto mummy's tummy. You can imagine how we felt that day with a BFN result !!! So, we decided to try again immediately. We lost two in the thawing process which was devastating and transferred 1 embryo and again BFN result !!! :gloomy:
Our Angel was very upset and you can well imagine our sorrow and questions why is this not working ???? :gloomy:
Our Dr advised us it's the luck of the draw a number's game. So, we are now planning another transfer for this coming week I have a scan on Thursday 17/8 and will probably have the egg transfer on the weekend. We have requested this time 2 embryos and will see !!!
We are not giving hope and we will continue our quest to becoming parents and with the support of DH our Angel and her family and closest friends and ladies on AED and Bub Hub forums we will pull through and can't wait to announce our positive results.
Love to all
Stephanie
