As title says, is there a round-about age that they start growing out of it.
When do I stop giving meds?
What did other mums do, did you just stop them to see if bub still needs them?
I dont see Pead anymore he has said to just see GP in regards to meds etc.

I've heard it peaks at 4mths and is mostly better by 12mths, though it can continue a lot longer for an unlucky few.

Both mine grew out of it by 10 months. I tested without the meds every now and then to see how things were.....

Sounds like a helpful Paed .... They should be keeping an eye on things & should be advising when to wean bubs off meds etc.
Usually by the time they start sitting up from say 6mths of age things start to improve so by the time they hit 10-12mths you usually are seeing a vast improvement in many.
That being said this isn't always the case which is why a Paed keeping an eye on things is the best way because as with my little guy he still was having problems come 18mths. Even now at a few months off 3yrs of age we still have him struggling with reflux.
Most kids have outgrown it by 2yrs though but sadly there are some like my little guy who will have it for life.

We weaned Connor off his meds at 18 months. At 2 years he's back on them, at least for the time being.
It just depends on too many factors to be able to say.
DS was on Zantac for about 6wks from 1mth old. By 2.5mths he didnt have reflux anymore. I think i was extremely lucky.

Once they become upright, eg sitting, standing etc the stomach starts to work properally & the reflux is less.
If I were you I'd be finding another pead, they need to have a close eye & check liver functions.
Our NICU pead said the same to me about J's reflux, I found another pead who keeps a close eye on him.
