Looking for mums in Maroondah / Whitehorse area...

Hi,

I am a 34 y.o. professional mum of 2 boys (ages 2.5 years and 8 weeks). I am currently on Mat leave until late Nov. I am not a native Melbournian, so I don't have much in the way of family here and my friends all work during the week (and are spread accross Melbourne in any case). Daytime TV and housework is doing my head in!

I am looking for other local professional mums, who also need an excuse to leave the house for coffee or a walk (I could do with losing a few kilos!!)... and a good chat.

I'm not quite a new Mum yet but will be around 21st Oct- :D . Not sure if you had seen my post? A while back now (Corporate working mum) I have been trying to set up a Proffesional Mums group for those that do work, maybe evening or a quick coffee on the weekends.

I live in Mitcham and have a couple of people interested.

I work Mondays and Tuesdays and now that the weather has improved have been managing to get out for a few walks while dh looks after the girls. I definitely would love to move a few baby kilos. Before I moved here I had a walking partner and would love another if there is anyone close enough and has some time.

If so, I can be at Amber's Playhouse playcentre in Forrest Hill shopping centre with my boys this Friday at 10am if other people can make it.

Hi Guys,

I managed to make it to Amber's Playhouse but as I did not know what anyone looked like I could not say who was there or not. I was there with a friend who had two boys. Next time I think we should say what one person will be wearing as there were a lot of mothers there today. Probable did not help that it was school holidays. Until next time :) I have not been there before and it was definitely different to one I visited in Brisbane. There you and your child had wrist bands and they checked you as you left to make sure you were leaving with your child!

I wasn't able to make it to the play centre yesterday. From the lack of postings it looks like nobody is free today. My toddler has had less than 5 hours sleep last night so I dare not release him on the general public today... so I won't be going now.

I am not available next Friday (7th Oct), but I'll look again in a week or so to see if anyone is interested in meeting the following THURSDAY 13th October at 10.30am. Please leave a message if you want to meet up so I know to look out for people.

Not sure if you have been following the Melbourne mums meet thread but Friday 18th we are meeting at Jells Park at 1030am if you are interested in coming along. I have sugested meeting at the Jells Park Tea House (the only cafe there). Hope to meet some of you there.
