hi all
well i am going to be ttc when af finally comes back post mc (still hasnt arrived:banghead: )
i am going to just use ovulation kit this time round , i am ttc for a boy but am confused as to when to do it, when should i first try testing? and if it says im o does that mean strait away or like 24 hours away i am seriously clueless and in need of help:fingerscrossed:
also what have you all found to be best method for getting you bfp
thanks
My last was concieved using OPK's. Once I got the positive we bd'd everday for the next 2-3days. Once you have the surge you are going to ovulate between 12 and 24 hrs, then the egg has like 24 hrs to be fertilised (I think)
I do however know that no matter what day you BD around ovulation, it is the male componant that determines the sex of baby, so no matter what we woman do it will have no effect on the sex of the baby.
I have heard however that more men make boys if they wear boxers, and girls if they wear briefs, don't know if there is logic to it but it has something to do with the temperature of the testies and which sex sperm is more produced due to the temp...? Something I read when pg with #1.

thanks for your reply,
in relation to getting a positive on ovulation how many days after af starts should i start testing to see if im ovulating
thanks again
This depends on how long your cycle is. When you buy the tests, it will tell you when to test. So if you have a 28 day cycle, you count first day od af as day 1 then I think you test on day 9 or 10...?

I have been trying for a boy. Day of ovulation gives you the best chance as the male sperm are stronger swimmers but die quicker than female...hence they dont have to hang around long to get the egg and get there quicker!
Alkaline enviroments favour a boy too not acid.. sorry if this is TMI...org---ms create an alkaline enviro too!!
