yeah, they do work well and no leaks! i used to use them on my girls whenever we went swimming in a pool but didnt really bother for the ocean or just playing with water or something though. but they are rather expensive! so i didnt use them much, only ever bought one pkt. u can get them at target, coles, woolworths any supermarket i spose. hope this helps!

i didnt really like them, maybe my boys have little bums but even the smallest size didnt really fit them well.
i guess they would have still held #2s in but they still filled up with water IYKWIM :)
i know heaps of people that love them though so it may be worth giving them a go :D

HI
I have used them for both my girls, and they seemed fine to me. They are a lil expensive but at the water park where i used to take DD1 before we moved you could buy them from the kiosk for 2 bucks. I thought that was reasonable, but it depends on how often you are going to use them, we had a pool at home too so we didn't bother much there....

i haven't used the disposables on my bub. i went and got a reusable swim pant/nappy from kmart and target. i paid $10 for it and it is wonderful. you put it on like bikini bottoms for adults and it has held in all the #2's. then you just rinse it out and chuck it in the wash with the nappies or clothes when you wash. treat it just like you would your own swimmers. what size pants is your little one wearing as i have one here my dd has outgrown. it is yellow so it could be used for both boys or girls. just pm me.
Like Billie&Beth, I bought a pair of swim pants from BIGW/Target. For $10-$12 they are a lot more affordable than disposable swimmers. My toilet trained 3YO will probably continue to wear hers this summer (if they still fit) she just wears a rashie for a top. They look like normal 'kini pants, but contain any accidents if you can't make it to the toilets on time while at the beach.

I found them ok but firstly tried to put them on when we left home and they do not work as a normal nappy..I found by the time we ended up at the beach they were already wet soo ok if put on just before use..
I got DD2's bathers at a outlet centre. Like billy&beth and mousebrown, they're reusable, look like normal bikini bottoms, and still contain all the stuff it needs too! Plus they're cheaper than buying disposables all the time. No matter what you use though, disposable or reusable, if they do a wee it's going to go in the water. But if they do a poo at least it's contained! So far I've managed to avoid that though!

unfortunately they don't work like nappies (they are more like adult swimmers than nappies) where (if you pee in your swimmers) the pee will go through them but they will contain the little nasty floaters that are a bugger to try and scoop out of the pool.

what if the poo is really runny?
If the poo is really runny, then your child shouldn't be going to a public swimming pool ... it is a risk factor in infecting pools with cryptospiridium which will make a lot of people very sick. If poo leaks into a pool, the pool has to be drained, scrubbed with disinfectant solutions and then refilled ... this usually takes a couple of days!
The little swimmer nappies are only designed to contain poo and they let wee through. With this in mind ... don't do what I did and wait to put them on your child when you get there - I had to deal with a wee soaked carseat!
If your child has only weed in thier little swimmer during the session, you can take it home and wash it and it will be ok to use over and over again! I have done this many times and one pack of little swimmers has been all I have needed for each of my kids!

I googled it and apparently its diarrohea thats really dodgy. He's not unwell, its just breastmilk poo.
