Hi all,

Just wondering when you guys gave your bubs a pillow to sleep on? DD is 18 months and has had a pillow for the past 5 months or so and she loves it and won't sleep without one but I have heard reports that you shouldn't let a bub have a pillow til they are two.

Also, when do you move bubs into a bed from the cot?

My 20 mth old has had a pillow since she was about 12 mths, its only a thinish one, but I wouldnt make her go without it
I found with my kids that just over the 2 mark was when they went into their big beds, the 20mth old is still in her cot and will be for quite a few mths yet.

We had car beds with really high sides made for our boys, and they slept in them from the night of their first birthdays with a pillow. But with DD I'm hoping to leave her in her cot for a fair bit longer than that. unless we paint a car pink!

I was wondering the same thing about moving DD to her bed. We have already bought her one and it is in her room (she is 18 months old). She doesn't seem to want to go to bed lately in her cot and tries to get her leg over the side of the rail. DS was just over 2 when he went into his bed and we hardly had any problems with getting out. I am just wondering if DD would find getting out a bit of a novelty because she is younger.

We moved Emily into a big bed at 18 months.
She's just been given a pillow in the last few days at 21 months -she has a cold and it seems to help her sleep better to have her head a little bit elevated.

Wyatt had a pillow from about 12 months I think, he was telling us he wanted something as he was bunching his blankets up and using them as pillows  We started with a Junior Pillow and worked up from there.

He's just gone into a toddler bed, he's 21 months this month.

My bub is 18 months and won't use a pillow (even the little toddler ones).

We are getting him a big bed for christmas so he will be around 22 months then.

He has never attempted to get out of his cot at all...so I didn't think there was any need to rush it.

Just a question though, is it bad for him that he doesn't use a pillow when sleeping - he just refuses and tosses it out of his cot?

my ds has used a pillow for about 5 or 6 months and he is 15 months old. he can sleep without one but he loves his thin pillow lol and if he is snoozing in our bed he steals dp's pillow lol
