Hello,

We're just about to move to Brisbane frim Sydney and I need to find a giid paediatrician for DD and DS.
DD has a medical condition and we have a fantastic paed for her here but unfortunately he doesn't know anyone in Brisbane.

Has anyone got any suggestions?
Also need to find a paediatric surgeon...

My only experience with a paed was the one who saw bubs in hospital (he was in the birth suite just in case DD needed him), his name is Bruce Lewis, his practice is at the Wesley medical centre which is in Auchenflower close to the city. He was nice and I have heard others liked him. Sorry I can't help you more, hopefully others have some input for you.

I was coming in to recommend the exact same Paed. Bruce is lovely, he listens to you and doesn't put you down or imply you don't know what is going on (which was the treatment we received from another 'popular' paed).

My oldest has been seeing Bruce for 6 years now and he was also there for the birth of my next two children and helped me through all the 'issues' we had with DD2 during her first 12 months.

Lovely man ... couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Good luck and welcome to Brissy. :D

Thanks domsgirl and RaryGirl! It sounds like Bruce Lewis is a good paed!
Is it very hard to get an appointment with him?

We're moving up to Brissy tomorrow, never been there so both excited and a bit scared!

not sure if you found anyone but i use dr david moore. my DS has had quite a few issues since birth and we had 2 previous paed i didnt like but dr moore is great listens to everything you have to say.
he practices at the wesley and also sunnybank.
once again like the other paed the girls recomend book ASAP as he is quite busy but well worth any wait. we have had DS in hospital quite a few times and our paed managed to get dr peter lewindon head of paed Gastroenterology to come and see us. i have been told he is the best to offer here and many health nurses i have seen said alot of others would be jealous as its very hard to get him to see anyone but my paed seems to be able to get the best.
