Wool rugs

Hi,
I've got a 6 wks son, and my husband and I have just bought 2 rugs which are pure wool. They look good but have fluff coming off them, which from what the salesperson told me, should clear after a couple of months of vacuuming.
After buying the rugs (too late now!), I have heard that wool carpet is a big no for people with asthma. This made me wonder if it is unsafe for babies. Can the baby develop asthma/alergy just because there is wool carpet in the house? If anyone could share their thoughts that would be much appreciated. Thanks

ds1 and i are asmatic so wool rugs and blankes are out for us there are a lot of things that can trigger asthma if your worried about it put the rugs away or sell them thats all i can suggest
