About to find out....

My hubby and i are finding out this weekend if we are having a boy or a girl.

Problem is.....

We both really want a girl...
Hubby has 3 sons, not with me and we are only having one together (thats the plan anyway).

I dont want to be disappointed if bubby is a boy...
i will love him anyway but i really do want a daughter......

Any advice or help here....

The downside to finding out early is that you have time for your emotions to play with your mind. When you don't find out until bubs arrives, after the whole birth experience, there is less of a chance to have any ill feeling about gender at all. Of course it does happen but I would say that having 20 weeks to stew on the fact that you aren't having a girl (if in this instant you find out your are having a boy) may not be the best thing.

My advice would be to not find out. Having said that you have to do what is right for you. It's only natural to want a girl when there are already more boys in your family, however your child is your child, forever more, and that's something far more important.

on the other hand i suppose i will have alot of time to be more open to a boy than if i find out when bub is born

i like to think a child is a gift no matter the sex. might not be the sex we want but in the end, they are who they are because they are here to show and teach us many things.

good luck and i do hope you get your little girl but just remember boys are just as percious :goodvibes:

Thanks, I think the reason we want a little girl so much is that my mother and my hubbys mum arent the most supportive women. We want to share our little girls wedding day, etc.... you can do that with boys but its not the same.
I will be very happy either way if its a boy we are naming after my dad who past 14 years ago....
I suppose in the end as long as bub is healthy i will be happy

Fingers crossed you get your girl, of course you want a healthy baby but we can't help what the heart wants and if that's a girl for you GOOD LUCK!!! I really want a girl as I already have 2 boys and can't wait to find out. I will be happy regardless but would love some pink in my house LOL!

Its a boy and we are really happy.... if we keep going we will have a footy team soon....
