Our son Charlie is 10.5 months old and is generally a good sleeper at night. (7.30pm to 7.30am). However in the last couple of weeks we have been up several times a night and when we go in his room, he has crawled up the end of his cot into one corner and is on his belly. It appears that he wakes himself up by bumping his head into the cot. He is teething at presesnt and we're not sure if the pain causes him to crawl around trying to get comfortable or whether it's something else. He usually settles pretty easily after we move him back under the blankets.
Has anyone else encountered this behaviour and know what it might be or have any theories on what could be causing this ????

Our 7 month old can't crawl yet but he kind of does the same thing, he will move all around his cot until he gets on his tummy and can't get back then he cracks it!! I just put him down for a nap and rolled onto his tummy and hit his head!!

My 9.5 month old has been doing this recently. I think he wakes up because he is cold (despite being in a sleeping bag). I just flip him over and pull him back under the covers. He settle fairly quickly.

I guess just making sure he is tucked in really tight is the only way to stop it.

And spring is on the way too!
