3 months and on my way to Australia!

Hi everyone,

I've just joined and am new to these kind of things.

I am currently 3 months pregnant and live in Scotland but am moving to Sydney in July 2010, where my husband is orignally from. My baby is due in November 2010. This is a huge experience for me, moving abroad, as well as having our first baby in a new country and I'm a little nervous to be honest.

I would appreciate any advice on useful websites, classes etc in the Sydney area (Bangor to be exact) as I am don't know where to begin with looking for information and really want to do some research before I arrive. My husband doesn't really have a clue!

Also looking to meet/talk to people who have perhaps experienced a similar situation with moving abroad.

Welcome to Oz, the weather is great but the supermarkets are crap!! :laughing: Your first priority should be to get your Medicare card;) Then you get a refferal from a GP, which you have to send to the hospital you choose to give birth in & they will contact you about your first appointment.
