I just want to know, I take my temp each day to see when i am ovulating and every moenth it has been around CD15. So we have been bd'ing up to days prior and today is meant to be o day. So my temp was still normal this morning so i thought that maybe i didnt ovulate but i just went to the toilet and there was a heap of sticky mucus looking stuff clear with streaks of like white/yellow through it. Does that sound like maybe I am ovulating???
I tested my temp again and its gone up but i have been out and about all day in the heat so that could mean nothing. Is it possible to ovulate without a temp rise??
Sorry I am just so mindless when it comes to this. Took me a while to figure out all the abbreviations too:o
Thanks Ladies so much for your help:hugs:
Hi The bubba...I never took my temp, mainly because I could never remember to take it at exactly the same time everyday. The way I work it out is that the mucus should be of egg white texture and quite hard to wipe. Sorry if it's TMI. Yeah thinking back it probably was sticky but it used to last for about 24 hours or so...I thinking the best time to BD is before during and after you detect the mucus.
I hope that helps and good luck on your TTC journet.
Sounds very much like you might be Oing today. Your temp won't rise until after ovulation. So hopefully you'll get a temp rise tomorrow morning to show that you O'd today. Even with people with very regular cycles, there is sometimes a little variation.

Thanks Ladies so if this is the case today is CD 15 ovulation day. We bd'd on CD 12 and previous days but not after which is what they recommend for a girl apparently.
Dont think well get a BFP this month but its only first month of trying so I will be patient!

I had my cycles monitored very closely as we had insemination. I would always get the mucus (that you described) on day 13 and they would inseminate me on day 14 (ovulation day). So it sounds like you will be O'ing in the next 24 hours or sure.

So does that mean that I probably missed the boat this month because our last bd was on CD12 and if I ovulate in the next 24hrs that means it will be on CD16. Can spermies live that long??

Sperm can live up to 2 or more days in fertile cervical mucous. So go grab your man and have fun. It sound like you might ovulate in the very near future based on your cervical mucous.
When taking your basal body temperature, you need three days straight of high temperatures to confirm ovulation. Those temperatures should start to go higher than all of the other temperatures you took earlier in the cycle.
It is really important you take your temperature before getting out of bed. As soon as you wake up, take your temperature lying in bed. Once you get up and start walking around and talking and eating, it is not your Basal Body temperature and cannot be used to chart ovulation.
So, until you have three days straight of high temperatures, continue BD'ing every day or every second day until ovulation is confirmed. Have fun :smiliedance: .

If yuo want to catch the egg this month but still want to increase your chances of a girl.. do these things.
have sex in the missionary position,
make sure DP only goes *PFFT* very shallow inside you.. as close to the opening as possible.
don't have an orgasm.
dont let DP drink coffee before bd'ing.
Get DP to have a warm shower (but not too hot before sex, that will kill off the boy sperm.
Also have a vinegar douche to create an acidic environment... you'll have to look on the net for the proportions of water to vinegar.
Those are all ways of helping increase the chance of girls.
Tadpoles acan actually last up to a maximum of 5 days.. usually about 3.
If you REALLy want a girl, wait till next month before bd'ing then bd up to cd13.
