My ds hasnt slept a full night since 15mths old unaided he is now 4 1/2 once a month we have been using vallergin for 3 nights in a row so he can get some sleep but he goes crazy the next day the dr wrote a script for melatonin 1ml per night every night . Has anyone else used it does it work at $70 a bottle i want to be sure its going to work
Hi there i have an eight year old son who has had trouble settling to sleep from an infant, he was prescribed melatonin from his ped and i must say there has been a real improvment this is his third month, and he is no longer jumping around on his bed till midnight instead we are sellting to sleep hours earlier. We only pay $45 for a 1mg for thirty or $65 for 60 tabs at our compounding chemist and we are in country vic. there has been no side effects to date, and fantastic getting up in the morning. I think its well worth the cost, but i was told it does not work on everyone. By son is still being assesed for aspergers/ ADHD .

thank you my local chemist only has table form going to try the rch and see if they have the liquid it would be fantasic to actually have a good nights sleep for both of us i think.
My DS1 was prescribed melatonin to aid in sleep but he isn't ASD. He has ADHD and was still bouncing off the walls at 2am. The melatonin made a huge difference and we no longer need it. It improved his sleep and his over all attitude was much nicer.

We were prescribed it for my DS (nearly 4) because he is such a restless sleeper, never falls into a deep sleep and is wide awake at 4am every day. His behaviour is completely out of control some days which we believe is partly due to being so tired... he's been taking it for about 6 weeks and it hasn't really made much difference. He does settle earlier in the night, but still sleeps very restlessly and is awake at an ungodly hour every morning. As a result, his behaviour hasn't improved at all :(
Didn't know they gave medicine for this my ds is 2 his OT gave him a cd to use only just started using it... Any suggestions?? He doesn't go to sleep unless dh lays with him about 9ish and gets up 2-3 times a night although he did sleep through 2 nights this week until 5am yay but dd got up grrr
