This is probably a really stupid question... but I am going to ask it anyway! :o


I am on day 5 of taking clomid (take my last tablet tonight), this is my first cycle, on 50mg....

My FS told me to take them just before i went to bed to avoid feeling side effects, which I have done and have felt no different... thats the problem... I feel like because I am not feeling any different they must not be working!! :banghead:

I have read that people have side effects such as hot flushes, nausea, cramps etc through out the day, even after taking them.. but me... nothing...

Am I really lucky or could it be that I am not going to respond to this low dose? Or am I being an irrational idiot! :p

when i was on clomid, i didnt get any side effects wotsoever. u maybe a lucky one also to not have them. good luck hope u have success with the clomid!

Hi NicoleE,

I took Clomid earlier this year - my last dose was in Early July. I had no side effects either and I took my tablets first thing in the morning. I did not have any problems with the tablets at all and didn't get any type of side effects. I was also on the 50 for the cycles that I completed (I am pretty sure that we did 4 cycles) gee I can't even remember and it was only this year too!!

Unfortunately we were not successful on the Clomid due to PCOS and we are now on the IVF journey. Good luck to you and hopefully everything works out with a BFP!! If you have any questions fee free to ask or pm me if you like.

nicoleE there are no stupid questions! - that's what we're all here for :D

You won't know if Clomid is working for you until you have the day 21 progesterone blood test to see if you have ovulated.

Like the other ladies said, some people just don't have side effects. :fingerscrossed: that you are one of the lucky ones!

If I wont know until day 21, what are they doing bloods for on Monday? That will be 'day 8', 3 days after the last Clomid dose (I started without a period induction).
