Hi Everyone,
Just wondering who takes bubs swimming and at what age you started, how was it? Do you dress them in swimmers + swim nappy or just swim napppy?

Also anyone on the Coast know of a good place to go? I am closer to Nambour side.

Thanks

hey deb
id put bub in a swim nappy & then swim suit over if the pool has no sun cover then a sunsuit
my sil has taken her three to palmwoods pool & found them great (i have taken them for the occasional lesson & the teacher is very patient though in summer the littlies pool is like being in a sauna!)
im looking into taking eliana to lessons at goodlife community centre at buderim (it is where we go for kindermusik) & their pool looks good - will let you know what i find out next tuesday but may be too far for you

Hey Debster

I started bubs swimming at 3 months. She just loves it. We go to Ron Colemans at Coolum which i highly recommend.

She just wears the tight fitting swimmers. No need to worry about sun protection as the pool is indoors and heated to 32 degrees.

She goes underwater for up to about 4 seconds. But we started off slowly.

thanks :) The Pamlwoods one sounds good so I might look into that one as it is close. In the meantime I booked Tyger into Nambour as if you mention the ad in the yellow pages you get four free lessons. I have no idea what it is like but I guess if it is free can try it out first.:yelclap: I better check if it is undercover as would definately prefer that.

Hi Deb!

I'm going to start Claire this summer. I heard that the best time to start is the summer of their first birthday.

I haven't looked into it too much, but I was actually going to ask Storm where she took Jazz. She said that one was pretty good.

I don't know if I'll do it earlier in the summer (which I'd prefer) or wait til I go on maternity leave (when I'll have more time).
