Just wondering, has anyone gone back to school after having a baby at a young age??
As i fell pregnant at the end of year 11, and went to school until i was 39 weeks pregnant (hahaha i know i was like a walking blimp in school uniform), and i will be returning to school on the 29th of this month to do my HSC.
Just curious if anyone has done anything similar, as i dont know how i am going to be able to keep my mind off the boy, i know he is in good hands (with either of his Nannys), but im worried my marks will be bad because i will be unable to concentrate on school work and only concentrate on him.
Sorry if this doesnt make sense haha.

Congratulations on making such a huge effort for both of you. With grade 12 finished you will have so many opportunities available to you. I went back to uni after starting my family and found it hard when I was at home, because I wanted to play with my boys but found when I was actually sitting in the rooms taking notes and trying to understand the assignments I spent little time thinking about them and was able to concentrate and focus. I hope you are the same, while at school tell yourself that your learning this for him, when you go home, read him some of the notes you have taken or pages from books you have to read, he will love hearing your voice and the revison will help you.
Good luck, I truly admire what you are doing, I believe you are going to do great.

When DS was 14 months I 'attempted' going back to school, I was 18 at the time and DS went to childcare for the first time.... being born 9 weeks early he had a low immune system and within 2 days was in hospital with numerous infections. It didnt take long to realise that it wasnt going to work for me... Ds spent the most part of a month in hospital and after the initial 2 days that he was in care I never made it back to school of course. After about a fortnight my teachers called up and I told them what had happened and they offered me there support and wished us well knowing I was not returning.
Those two days I don't think I achieved much anyway as I'd given myself no time prior to that to adjust to being away from him and he was on my mind constantly.
My story is obviously not a very positive one but extreme circumstances made it like that. You will do fantastically I'm sure.
My little piece of advice though is to make sure you get used to being away from bub before you HAVE to be away from him so its easier on you. He will be fine as hes so young... but you... it wont be easy especially if you just throw yourself into it as I did, it will probably be a bit easier as your bub isnt going to child care though!
BEST of luck with finishing your education, what a fantastic thing you are doing for you and your son.
