I found out yesterday at my gender scan that bubs is a girl. The ultrasound lady said she is 100% sure (but these other threads about how scans are sometimes wrong make me a little uncertain so I think I'll stay out of them.)

Good luck to Muls and everyone else hoping for a girl. I hope you guys get your girls too.

To anyone who is currently TTC a girl I have some boxes of Crystal Light I got sent over from America to try and sway and I never ended up using them, so PM me if you're interested and I'll send them to you.

In fact, the ONLY thing I did to try and sway for this girl was use a lime douche before sex, and that was only because I was practicing for when I started to sway properly.

So I still have no idea if gender swaying works or not, but all I did was change my PH and I got my girl.

If you dont mind me asking... how do you make/use the lime douche and is it safe to do it? My DH and I are hoping TC a girl between now and the end of the year and Im wanting to give a few things a try to see if they work. How do you know that your PH changed? is there a test that you can do?

Hi. Thanks! To make the lime douche I just squeezed some lime juice, mixed it in with some distilled water, put in a douche bottle, and did it before I had sex. (I have a digital PH tester so I used that to read the PH.)

I think its safe to do before sex (well no less safe than douching is at the best of times) but you shouldn't do it after sex because it can cause an ectopic pregnancy. (You should probably look into it more if you're worried though.)

If your PH is high again after sex, instead of douching, you can soak a tampon in the lime douche mix and insert it for a few hours. (Although I never got that far, because I was really just doing the pre-sex douche to practice PH levels for when I started to sway properly.)

I'm actually getting rid of my digital PH tester too, so if you (or anyone) is interested, PM me and I'll send it to you.

The best Ph tester to get is called the Hanna 98103 (Hanna is the brand, 98103 is the code number I guess.) because the tip is tiny, so its the perfect size for testing CM because you don't need much. You can buy them off the Hanna website, or I just got mine off ebay. Hope this helps.

Have you looked at www.ingender.com? Thats where I got all my info from. Its a website with all the info you need about gender swaying. Once again, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this link, but if I'm not, a mod will just remove it and then you can PM me (if you can) and I'll give it to you.

I did! Thankyou! I still can't quite believe I'm having a girl. Thats why that other thread about how the scans are sometimes wrong makes me a bit nervous.

I'm just glad that bubs was in the right position to be able to tell the gender, because we drove over two hours just so I could get to a place that does early gender scans.

And when we got there the person doing the ultrasound had to try from about 5 different angles before she could tell me the gender, and I'm sure it only took about 30 seconds but it felt like it was taking forever. And then she said 'girl.' :)

I'm going to be checking at all my future scans to make sure its 'still' a girl though.

Even though according to that other thread some people get told its a certain sex right up until birth. Then it turns out to be the opposite. I'd better keep my list of boys names just in case. :laughing:
