If Rudd was kicked out by the Labor party. They replaced him with Julia Gillard would you still vote Labor?

I would vote Labor either way. I actually like Kevin Rudd and am actually at a loss to why everyone seems to really dislike him now. I think he has done a good job.

I would never in a million years vote Liberal. Even if I were the richest person in Australia, their party represents everything I am not.

F no, why would I vote for a woman that wont support women's choices in birth?

Other. I don't know enough about her to give a definite answer. Although as Babymaker said, birth choices is a good enough reason not to.

i would never vote labour anyway :)
it always happens. labour comes in spends all the money, has us in debt to our eyeballs, effs all our overseas partnerships, everyone realises they are idiots, then they vote liberal again and they have to fix everything again!!

but i hope gillard appeals the mining tax like she says she will!

Actually liberal had put this country in debt many of times!! Last time it happens it wasn't until labor took over and made some smart changes to put us back in black.

K rudd same in just as our ecconomy was going down the toilet, he wasn't able to do most thing as he had to worry about our financial crisis and if he didn't put us in debt we would have been 1000 times worse off, more homes lost, more jobs lost!!!
Some people have NO clue.

Yes. We really only have 2 to choose from, Labor and Liberal and there is no way known I would want the Libs in power.

Oh dear, stuck between a rock and a hard place here. NO WAY will I vote for Abbott... yet I will have a very hard time voting for the backstabbing cow. I liked K Rudd :(

Yes.

I'd rather vote Greens, but I feel that's a pretty wasted vote. So I'd vote Labor. I'll be Labor voter for all eternity I think. I'll never be right-wing.

A vote for Greens isn't wasted! It goes to their primary vote, but because it's unlikely they'll get enough of the vote to win, your vote will then go to your second, third, fourth preference, until it reaches the party who has 50+%. I vote Greens, then preference with Labor in second or third but always above the Coalition/ Family First, etc. Doing it that way feels almost like getting multiple votes. :D

It would be awesome if Labor won but Greens got a high primary vote, as they would likely be placed in a good position to bargain from.

I find this odd, I didn't realise ABbott was now the face of reproductive choices for women.

 Agreed.

I have to admit that I voted for Howard when I was 18 and had no idea about politics (just that my mum and dad voted for him :o) but happily voted for Kevin in 07. I think he did a great job in a very tough situation. I think if anything he tried to do too much and that was the problem (as opposed to Howard who was in for forever and didn't really seem to achieve much at all...)

Me too. These are my thoughts exactly.

I will vote labour - I would have anyway, even with K Rudd as the leader.

Who I vote for has little to do with who is the leader of the party but more about what the local representative does for the community. A political leader is generally only as good as their advisors......

So Rudd or no Rudd my vote would be the same

F no, why would I vote for a woman that wont support women's choices in birth?

Its Nicola Roxon who is changing the midwifery laws - not Gillard.

FWIW - I dont know where Gillard stands with birth choices - but Roxon is the minister for health.

This is what I do as well ;) ALWAYS Greens in #1, and then always an independant in #2.

And that would be why Rudd's advisors are not continuing a career in politics.

Mmmmm, but she is the face of the party for that particular portfolio. I don't think it is a case of free rein over it, it is still the party decision isn't it? Roxon is the messenger of the party decision, well in theory any way. Under the Rudd government, not many other people actually had a say.

My thoughts exactly. I honestly think that you usually cannot place blame on one person within a political party as they all decide on their policies.
