hey everyone
Im a newbie here!
My DH and I TTC for nearly 6 years and after 2 failed IVF rounds, last year we decided that it wasnt for us.
We have now been pursuing the local infant adoption program in Victoria and on Monday will attend our first Training seminar. Needless to say, we are extremely excited and are very much looking forward to it...
I would love to hear from anybody who has successfully adopted an infant in Victoria and any insights you can give to the process.
Much love,
Gosia:flowerz:

hi there!
We contacted the Department of Human Services directly and they referred us to the Local Infant Adoption Program. We applied and went along to an information session. We were then invited to the training/education program - part 1 was today and part 2 of that is next Monday...
Today was very informative and dealt with many emotional issues. We also got to hear an adoptive parents point of view which was inspiring.
Looking forward to the next session next week...and then we prepare for long process of pre-approval...its going to be a long haul and we're ready!
Wishing you luck and congrats on #1 on the way :-)))
