I gave it to dd like a month ago, she was like 8 months old at the time.

Whenever you want :)
My DS loves it, but it gives him really bad nappy rash. I know a few other bubs who have been the same.
Not trying to scare you off it, but it took me a while to connect the two. On the other hand, he would plough through a whole mandarin without thinking. Maybe moderation is the key .
Give it a go, though, and see how yours goes.

I am more concerned about choking, is it a good finger food to try?

I think it's a good food to try for finger food because it's so squishy and juicy. dd has no troubles with it.

:iagree: Too much gives my DS a nasty rash :(
But the choking risk should be ok, maybe if you're feeling a bit questionable about it, chop them? I would leave them in one piece, fully de-pithed and obviously, seeds removed :)
