royal north shore public maternity

Hey! i am 8 weeks and told by my doctor today i need to choose a hospital .... thinking Royal North Shore Public...
She said i meet with a midwife every so often there to talk about how im going.
How do i go about organising this and does any one know more about this. Any phone numbers etc would be helpful :thumbsup:

your dr should give you the details.... a referral letter and you just call the admissions number/ maternity number and book yourself in on your due date. Don't worry , they know its not exact but they need to have you booked for around that time. They then will book you in for your first appointment with the midwife. You can address all your concerns ect there .....from there they tell you when to book next ect.... so dont worry! ask your dr for the details / number to call that is there job. good luck!!

I called the hospital and they transferred me through and got an answering machine. I left a message 2 weeks ago but they havent got back to me. Yeh do you have the number that goes directly to the maternity unit.

Still unsure whether we will have it at RNSH or on the south coast in nowra as we have a place down there too.
however, i am pretty keen on a waterbirth. I want to check them out in the next 2 weeks atleast.
I just had my first ultrasound on friday which was pretty exciting!!! I am 9 weeks today. I would love to take you up on the offer, will let you know in the next couple of weeks once weve decided. :)

I found them a little slow in calling me back to book in, but not 2 weeks!
Call back and leave another message as they should call you back.
I am 11 wks pg with number 2 and have my first appointment in a few weeks.

I had bub number 1 there and was overall quite happy with everything.
