I need ideas ladies

DD will be turning 1 in 2 months and she has so many toys. we got her an activity table and a trike that i got on sale just after christmas, but i have other people asking me what they can get her and i have no idea.

Any suggestions?

My stock standard gift is BOOKS (and being a librarian people expect it of me) so that is always my first suggestions and for me atleast you can never have too many books esp as they get older cause there are more to choose from (and tyou can slip mummy's choice in with the 2 must haves when you get too bored with the same stories over and over andover and over......

consumable stuff for a bit later on paints, crayons etc crafty bits.

Depending on the timing of bubs brithday too asking for the gifts to be for about 6months ahead is handy too cause they develop so fast esp at this age.

Bath toys are always great too as you do need to replace them fairly regularly as they can get a bit manky if you can't get all the water out of them.

One of the ladies at work got her grandson swimming lessons for his first birthday.
I thought this was a fantastic idea. I want to start my little one swimming as soon as possible so they are confident in water, and plus if they fall in they can learn to float on their back til someone finds them. (not like i would leave them unattended near a pool) but you never know. :)
