Old Wives Tale or Truth?

Okay, Ive read so much conflicting information on teething.

Oliver seems to me showing all the symptoms, except his cheeks arent constantly red (just most of the time he has a flush) and his gums dont seem hot, but they are a little bumpy....like goose bumps!

Now...is this truth or tale? When the baby starts pulling on their ear all the time, they are teething?

Cause Oliver is constantly tugging on his ear....his sharp little nails are scratching the side of his head to shreads, I've had to roll over the mit on one of his hands!!!

Sounds true to me - I've been mucking around trying to relieve pressure on my euchastian tubes for the last few days and I am teething (the last of the wisdom teeth - I guess I'll just keep getting dumber from here on in). As babies don't quite understand how to do that internally, the external tugging probably helps a bit.

I honeslty dont know. DD is teething, AGAIN! Just when I think she finished she is now cutting her two top teeth at the same time :o

She was tugging on her ears, I thought normal teething, went for a check up at the GP and turned out she had an ear infection. I would still get it checked by a GP or even the CHN :thumbsup:

I'm not sure Ds pulls his ears but he has been doing it for months and no teeth yet!

I am going to go with true as Ozzy only seems to do that when teething.

I took Oliver for a check up with the Dr the other day to check that all these other signs of teething were not something more serious.... :)

His ears are clear....so maybe he really is teething. I'm just not sure! LOL Its so scarey when its your first baby and first teeth!!!
