eek nipples

ok im wondering how big your nipple has to get to be able to breast feed:o
i ff dd 1and2, and the avent bottles say the teats are designed like real nipples....whose nipples really look like that, mine dont are they meant too:D

do the need to come out really far or is it ok if they just get hard and pop up a bit:confused:
some one help me im so confused and i havent even started yet:laughing:

Bronny, don't worry at all - they will adapt for feeding.

In fact, after bubs has had a good long feed, you will honestly be surprised when you see the length of the nipple. It will go back to normal within a minute or so though.

Mine never looked like an Avent bottle thank goodness!:laughing:

Not normal but not abnormal IYKWIM.

They are all different and pregnancy and then breastfeeding can do some crazy things to them. They do go back to normal though when you're all done.:yes:

i'll have to see what happens, when i tried to bf dd 1 the midwifes didnt say "wow you wont be able to feed with those nipples" so i guess it should be fine:o :D

Breastfeeding is a challenge but after the first few days, it can be so convenient and good for bubs. Commit to going strong with it the first few days - you may be pleasantly surprised:D

im all for it, im getting to lazy to make bottles and sterilise them everday:D
i want to see what my bodys really capable of, it made life has carried life, and the fact it can sustain life i think is really amazing, plus i heard bf burns alot of calories:D

Mine look like nossles, and I was quiet freaked out today to discover that if I sandwich my boob between my hands when Oliver pulls off, it continutes to spurt! LOL GROSS!!!!

Oh and since I express mostly.....my nipple gets pulled right into the suction thing...I swear it gets to be about an inch long *eeekkk*....who would have ever thought that our sensitive little nipples could be like Gumby?

So disheartening really huh, and they wonder why we end up on the bottle:confused: If on ly some midwifes were a bit more supportive!
