DS is a fussy child to say the least. No matter what we've tried, the only way to get him to sleep is in my bed after a breastfeed, which has to be done laying down.
I put him down to sleep this evening and an hour later, I heard a cry (not a pain cry). I ran in and he was sitting on the floor crying :crying:
Luckily I had pillows on the carpet for a "what if" scenario which protected him but still rang the nurse to see what we should do - keep an eye out for clear discharges, bleeding, bruising, see if he stops eating and to wake him every couple of hours for the next 24 hours. I'm pretty shaken up. He seems OK and was happy and cheery after the incident. My bed isn't high up, we have carpets and he was protected by pillows and he landed sitting up, so his big fat bottom protected him.
Do bed rails work well for this age? Is there anyway I can transition him to the cot? DF can't find the alan key to disassemble the cot to move it to our room, so I have no idea how to even get DS to sleep without a nurse.
I really need help
