hi, i'm ttc and have started using the LH tests but have not had a positive result yet. It's day 19 and i've been testing since my period ended. I usually ovulate around day 15 so I'm wondering if 1-2 bf a day would be enough to alter the LH reading. Very on edge, just want to fall pregnant... Started doing tests twice daily, but is this necessary? Arrrgghhh!!!:confused:

Breastfeeding (at all) may be enough to throw your cycle out and reduce chances of ovulation. Also being stressed can make your cycles irregular.

As far as LH tests go, here’s how they work... the LH surge can last 12-72 hours and it generally precedes ovulation by 1-2 days—as does ‘spinnbarkeit’ mucus (eggwhite-like, fertile mucus). So if you are looking for the surge itself, depending on what happens for you, you may need to do 2-3 tests in 24 to catch it! In my opinion, it would be much simpler, easier and cheaper to learn how to chart your temperatures and mucus changes to time ovulation.
