I am keen, but I have boot camp fitness on Friday mornings at the same time. It finishes in 2 weeks so I could come on the 19th
Is it a structured group where someone teaches / provides info? Or more a casual catch up?

Rose&Aurelia
04-11-2010, 09:01
hey xtr

its pretty casual. but i go to a playgroup on mondays in enoggera thats a little more structured. they start as general play, then art (painting/drawing) then morning tea (every parent for a child thats eating solids brings one piece of fruit and there is a roster of who cuts and divides them up). its then followef by more play and ends in singing nursery rhymes. thats what happened when i went last week.

Hi everyone,
I'm not going to playgroup at Enoggera this week. I'm finding poor Leo and I have such a busy weekend that I like to try to get some semblance of order back on Monday mornings!
But I will be at storytelling at Grange library on Thursday and Mitchie playgroup on Friday.
XTR I've sent you a private message re catching up.

Hi,

I am looking for a playgroup/mothers group on a Friday. I have a 2 yr old and a 11 week old daughter. My 2 yr old daughter goes to daycare on a friday so looking for something for me and my bubba to do on a friday. Anyone know of anything or keen for catch up?

Also have read that some of you go to a playgroup in Enoggera on a Monday. Is this the one at the baptist church on samford rd and Hawthorne st?

Hey leebies, could be better with the new bubs. The last so many nights she wakes when I just so happen to be going to bed, and then she wont settle or go to sleep til god knows what hr in the morning, hence why Im up at this time now. I was hoping to be in bed 5hrs ago, but noooo, another night of sleep deprivation for me.:( I would've napped today but had to go out for bubs hearing test, and then tomorrow have DP's brother and SIL coming around, only found out tonight mind you. My first was never like this, he was a great sleeper, so Im not use to being so sleep deprived, feel like Im a walking zombie at the moment. Oh well, thats the joys of parenthood for you

Ok, well had the CHN come over today and suggest playgroups and whatnot, so am considering this while Piccabeen thing, seen as tho some of the girls on this thread are going and it sounds nice, so might see how the weather is this friday, if its raining walking is not an option. walking with a pram with a newborn and toddler might be an issue. if not then i hope i can next friday.

Hi Sweetums,

I don't live close, but I'm a member of a group on meetup.com that meets at Everton Park Hotel regularly if you wanted to join in? You can send me an email (ms_delirium@hotmail.com) and I'll send you a link if you are interested.
Cheers,

Sorry Sweetums I have been off line for a while with christmas and holidays. Any way let me know when you are free for a catch up.

I was thinking we could have our first meet up at my house.

I have joined playgroups before but Misss 2 is extremely shy and just clings to me so I thought she might be more comfortable meeting new people in her own home. Any day is good except friday. I hope you had a great christmas.

If anyone else is keen to join us just let us know. The more the merrier :)
