I'm hoping someone will be able to help me out with some information on surrogacy and egg donation. My husband & I are looking into it as last year when I was pregnant with my second child I found out I had cancer. Due to the nature of the cancer it wasn't safe to continue with the pregnancy and there wasn't enough time to harvest my eggs before starting chemo. I finished chemo a few months ago but unfortunately my periods haven't returned and the doctor can't tell me if the chemo has damaged my ability to have another child. Even if they are not damaged, we are still a little reluctant to try and get pregnant again incase the cancer returns, so we've been talking surrogacy. We live in Qld but are willing to travel interstate or even overseas as long as the company is reputable. If anyone can give me any information it would be greatly appreciated.
