Hi everyone

I'm on my 5th round of clomid (50mg) and was wondering if anyone else finds that their ovulation day is all over the place?

I'm currently at day 22 and havent ov'd yet. Last month I didnt ov at all. The month before it was day 16, the month before that it was day 14 and the month before that day 23.

I don't know if the clomid is just not working for me, or if it's normal to vary this much.

thanks in advance!

Hi Jonay

I find that I consistently O around CD14, 15 & 16. The one exeption to the rule was my last cycle after my lap. I O'd earlier and it looked like I was going to have a 28 day cycle for the very first time. But I'll never know for sure as I was pregnant.

Just waiting for AF to apear and we'll start all over agian.

What dose are you on? Perhaps they need to up it to make you O more consistently.

I ovulated on different days also, but not as erratic as you, it was more like day 14 to 19 type of thing. I also got pregnant 3rd round. What does your dr think? Maybe you should re-evaluate your dosage, especially if your not iv at all on that dose.
I know when I was seeing my specialist, it was only to be 4 rounds (making sure I was ovulating on my dose) before we looked at other possible causes for infertility and then take it from there.

Thanks ladies

I'm on 50mg now, I have to ring my doctor this week and if he confirms no ov then the plan is to go up to 100mg.

I'm not sure how many cycles he's going to let me go for, I got pregnant on my 1st cycle of clomid but then had a miscarriage, so I'm currently in 4th cycle since then. My doc says coz it has worked for me once we'll keep trying, but if cycle 6 doesnt work I'm going to ask for a lap/D&C to check whats happening.

Good luck with the FS. I am on 50mg. It took me 7 cycles and 1 lap to get our :bfp:. But that resulted in a miscarriage.

We are waiting for AF to appear and we plan to do 1 more cycle on clomid and then if we don't have our :bfp: that sticks it's straight onto IVF.

We aren't prepared to wait any longer. And from our post op appointment I think my current FS is hinting at us moving on as well.

The only reason we are doing the clomid again is because we have one cycle left sitting in the cupboard other wise I'd be straight to QFG.

Hi Zultbear

I totally understand not wanting to wait any longer, I am feeling like that too.
Good luck with your last clomid cycle, I hope you get a sticky BFP!
