I will have a 2yr and 10mth gap between Matthew and the new baby and I am undecided about whether or not I should get a twin pram for the first 6mths.
I generally walk everywhere, the post office is a 2km return trip, the baby health clinic is almost 4km. When we go grocery shopping (it will be myself and 2 kids 2wks out of every 3), we are walking for hours on end. I think this would be rather hard for an almost 3yr old. A friend of mine said he should be right, but I dunno.....he gets so tired on our shopping trips now (we are gone from 8:30am and don't get home till 2:30) and I can't see him improving any over the next 8mths.
What would you do?

I'm bidding on a single pram on ebay, (I sold Matthews about 2mths ago when I brought him a stroller, LOL) but do you think I'd need a tandem pram as well??

You could use a baby sling if your little man gets too tired and just put the newborn in the sling!;)

yep I think the sling is the best idea as it would only be a cpl of months before he wouldnt want to be in the pram anymore anyway! Most of the time I have DS, DD1 in the twin pram and then DD2 in the sling... even tho i have a toddler seat for my twin so could have all of thme in there, its just easier having my 6 week old in the sling as then shes always comforted if shes in the pram she might have a grizzle then i have to push one handed and hold her but the sling keeps me hands free for pushing :D

I tried slings with my other kids and I found they really hurt my shoulders as they were all such big babies. Even from birth I found them too heavy. Is there a cheap sling that anyone would recommend? The hug-a-bubs sound good, but they are wayyyyyyyyyy out of my price range.

Perhaps you could start a thread and see what cheap slings ppl reccommend. Or check out e-bay there are always heaps of slings on there greatly reduced.
