we will be starting within the next couple of months and I had always thought that if you had sex at least every second day (outside of your period) that you are bound to fall pregnant! but after reading lots about it, it can take quite a few months to conceive.

just wondering, if having sex everyday, how can you still NOT fall pregnant?

thanks

Roxy

Fertility issues would be the major factor I would be guessing?

Hi Roxy,

Well unfortunately just having sex everyday does not mean you will get Pregnant, Just having sex does not guarantee those spermies will find the egg, and even if they do it may not implant.

- HMM have you ever tried to have sex everyday - I did and I have never before had my DP say he is to tired, but he did then.
NOT Recommended for healthy sperm.

You only ovulate at a certain time during your cycle - if you bd after this, its basically just for fun practice. Most women ovulate around day 14 but can vary. If you have time to google it (conception, pregnancy etc) you will find a plethora of sites to help. Heres just a quick one i found, there are betterother sites as well!

Roxy - it certainly isn't a sure thing. I'm on my 13 th cycle, and have only fallen p/g once - and that's with BDing at all the right times (and even a few months of BDing every day around O time). I appear to be ovulating normally and my DH's spermies are fine, but its still not happening. There's obviously some reason why though. They say the average couple has a one in three chance of conception each month if egg meets sperm at the right time.

Usually fertility issues would prevent someone from conceiving if they have sex regularly around ovulation. Even then, it can take up to 12 months for a healthy fertile couple to conceive.

In my opinion, its cause men never stop to ask for directions.
